Our highly trained traditional butchers keep an enviably well stocked meat counter in Staverton, Kitley and Sidmouth stores whilst Totnes keeps a fridge well stocked with pre-packaged meat from the butchey. If there's anything you'd especially like, like a boned and butterflied leg of lamb, then a helpful butcher will be willing and able to prepare it for you. You'll not only find fabulous cuts of 21 day hung/aged organic beef and golden skinned organic chickens but also game in season and hams and gammons cured and smoked to perfection. Christmas time at the Riverford butcher's counter is a glorious sight to behold!

As well as the array of meat cuts and joints there are also pre-prepared items including a variety of meatballs, burgers, kebabs and meat rolled and stuffed with mixtures made from best ingredients and fresh herbs prepared in the Riverford kitchen. At Christmas there are Angels on Horseback, at least two varieties of stuffed turkey breast, cured loin of pork, sausage meat and a variety of suffings, all prepared by us to save you the hard work - and you know that it will all be made from fresh with the best.

Over in Dean Court we have a veritable army of butchers with the same level of skills dedicated to preparing meat for our increasingly popular meat box scheme. As we become ever short of time, the scheme provided high quality, full-flavoured and well hung meat, all from local west country farms, direct to your door with free delivery.
